just came back from watching the Dim Sum Dollies-Little Shop of Horrors! havent been to watching theatre recently and this was a good production!
needless to say, the trio(dim sum dollies) stole the show away with their humourous lines , facial expressions. they are so so so very good at making us laugh like crazy with their quirky accents.HAHA. emma, selena and pamela werent the main stars of the plot but i loved their parts and acting the most.
the whole production was good lah, but i personally thought the the 'romantic' scenes and lines between denise and hossan were kinda cheesy, the kind that made all of us squirm uncomfortably in our seats. yucks. but i havent seen non-cheesy ones done in our country so i suppose i have to give them credit for trying :p
oh yar, after that we got to attend the reception cos my mum's friend, uncle richard does the lighting/sound co-ordination and we had complimentary tickets. we felt so OUT OF PLACE!! the food and drinks provided were real good..dainty-looking pieces of cheese cakes, chips,salmon and beef things..all finger food.haha. then there quite a number of celebs around: lim yu beng, tan kheng hua, the whole cast, tracie pang..basically, everyone there knew each other, except us DUH. hah. we didnt care, we went there just to enjoy the food and "theatre atmosphere" i suppose.
